Call for expressions of interest  

We are pleased to announce the opening of the call for expressions of interest for the Viet Nam Climate Resilient Municipalities (VNCRM) project. We invite FCM members to get involved and support our efforts to build climate resilience and implement inclusive environmental governance in targeted Vietnamese municipalities. 

Through a unique framework of peer-to-peer collaboration, the VNCRM project will support Vietnamese municipalities in developing and implementing climate adaptation solutions. This initiative not only responds to the urgent need for climate resilience and adaptation but also ensures that strategies are inclusive and equitable. 

Partnership opportunities: Each participating Canadian municipality will work in teams, collaboratively with other Canadian municipalities, and then directly with counterparts in Viet Nam to provide strategic and technical support in climate adaptation planning, infrastructure asset management, and solid waste management. This partnership will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and encourage the development of inclusive, innovative and sustainable local actions that strengthen climate resilience and ensure reliable services for communities. 

Eligibility criteria: 

To participate, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be a Canadian local government
• Be a member of FCM 
• Individual participants must be able to travel to Viet Nam
